Judge Cannata has more than 40 years of legal experience representing clients on both sides of the docket. He was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to be the first judge of the 458th District Court in Fort Bend County. After leaving the bench in 2019 he became Chief of the Litigation Division of the Fort Bend County Attorney’s Office. He has represented clients before the Texas Courts of Appeals, State and Federal District Courts as well as the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Cannata has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1993. Judge Cannata has the knowledge and experience to assist parties in evaluating their claims and defenses.
